Genetics Program
A Journey Built on
Honesty
Coleman Canines has been breeding American Bulldogs since 2009. Our journey began like many — learning the hard way — but we quickly recognized that improving the breed required better decisions, better pairings, and a global perspective on genetics.
Today our program features Russian champion bloodlines from Grand Future kennel, a current litter sired by Triton from Blackwells Bulldogs, and a planned next breeding introducing Spanish bloodlines. We are honest about where we are and transparent about where we are going.
Breeding Since 2009
Over 15 years of hands-on experience breeding American Bulldogs, learning what works and what doesn't through real-world results.
Selective Pairings
We choose studs and dams who have been health tested by their breeders, even as we build toward our own formal testing program.
International Lines
Russian Grand Future bloodlines and upcoming Spanish imports — a truly global approach to improving the American Bulldog.
Breeder Support (In Progress)
We are actively developing a lifetime breeder support program. Our commitment to every pup we produce doesn't end at the sale.

CURRENT LITTER — 2025
Triton × Princess Anastasia
Our current litter was sired in 2025 by Triton of Blackwells Bulldogs (Amy Blackwell), a US-bred stud with exceptional structure and temperament. The dam is our own Princess Anastasia. What We Breed For
Every pairing we make is evaluated against the American Bulldog breed standard. We breed for structure, temperament, and longevity — not just appearance. These are the traits we prioritize in every Coleman Canines pup.
Head
Broad, square, and powerful — the hallmark of the American Bulldog. Wide between the eyes with a defined stop.
Body
Muscular, athletic, and well-proportioned. Deep chest, strong back, and powerful hindquarters built for work and endurance.
Temperament
Confident, loyal, and devoted. The American Bulldog is a deeply affectionate companion — steady, courageous, and deeply bonded to its family.
Movement
Fluid, powerful, and efficient. Movement should reflect the breed's working heritage — purposeful and athletic.
Coat
Short, dense, and close-lying. Colors range from white to brindle, fawn, red, and various combinations.
Size
Males 60–120 lbs, females 60–100 lbs. Size should never compromise structure, soundness, or athleticism.
